Favonius is named after the gentlest of the Roman winds, the herald of spring and a symbol of youth and the fruitfulness of nature. Nishane's extrait de parfum opens with bergamot, pink pepper and incense, then unfolds a heart of rose, geranium, cypriol, armoise and clary sage. Oud, sandalwood, cedarwood and patchouli lend a dry, woody depth to the base. Aromatic and quietly smoky, it suits those who favour a rose held in a resinous, woody frame.
